We have laid out the most important elements we use for creating posts below. We also wanted to stress one thing – “focus on the subjects that directly relate to your products”. While men’s lifestyle subjects are a great resource for current website users and subscribers. From a ranking perspective we want the blog content to directly support your keywords. Write a lot of content focused on your product line, bamboo materials, different styles etc. You should still do the odd men’s lifestyle post but make them more like 1 in 5 of your posts with 5 keyword related posts for every lifestyle post. Once you have enough content and you have earned your keyword rankings you can back off a bit but for now you need content that is directly related to your focus keywords.
Focus on a single keyword phrase from our list below. We would recommend starting with bamboo related words as these are niche and achievable in the short-term keywords.
*keywords marked in yellow are the ones we would start with*

- Make your blog title “Google-friendly.”
Try to create a title that is compelling and incorporates your target keyword phrase. Examples below:
Try adding numbers. “5 Reasons Bamboo Is A Better Fabric”
Consider an offer in the title. “How to Save 10% of Great Fitting Bamboo Briefs”
Try a teaser. “We Asked 100 Men What They Loved About Bamboo And Here’s What We Found”
- Create an SEO-friendly meta description.
Along with the title tag, your meta description helps your page stand out in the search result. It acts almost as a mini pitch to convince searchers to click and read your post..
A great meta description should be:
- Short with a max of 160 characters
- Include your target keyword
- Be clear and descriptive
- Convincing to the searcher that your post is worth the click
- Aim to optimize your content for featured snippets.
A featured snippet appears to supply direct answers to searchers questions. If done well Google may present your page information in a featured snippet box that greatly increases your click through rate and traffic volume. To get started on this aim to answer a common question related to your blog subject. For bamboo underwear I have highlighted some below and attached an excel with a few hundred from Google search history.
- are bamboo underwear good

You can use this site to search for question suggestions around your blog subjects – https://answerthepublic.com/
- Structure the posts using H1, H2 and H3 subheadings.
Breakdown the content into easily readable / scannable pieces in order of importance. Use the H1, H2, H3, H4,H5 subheadings to label each section ensuring you include your target keywords or related wording. Ensure that you use separate wording for your blog title and H1 heading. H2, H3 and further sub headings should be related to the H1 and expand on it.
- More content is better.
A 500-word post has some ranking value. A 1000-word post has more ranking value. A well written long-form post of more than 3000 words lets you cover the topic thoroughly and stand out from the crowd. Google uses both the content of the article and user’s engagement with it to determine your ranking placement. By creating a heavily researched article that answers searchers questions you stand to gain lots of traffic.
- Write for the readers, not search engines.
Write natural copy that connects with your readers and don’t try to create “optimized” blog posts. Instead write for your readers and use titles, heading structure, links and image titles/alt descriptions for SEO.
- Use at least 1 image per 500 words and always use alt tags and captions with your images.
Properly describing images with accurate subject related titles, image alt descriptions and captions allows Google to have a better understanding of your content. It also allows you to further include your target keyword and related keywords.
- Use relevant internal links.
Ideally, we are bringing in new website visitors with the blog content as well as providing a resource for repeat users. In the end we want to bring readers from the blog content into the main product sales pages of the website. We also want to tell Google that these blog pages are here to support our main pages. We can drive both Google and site users to our most important sales related pages by using internal linking on all blog posts. This should be a key piece of the blog structure. Try to use at least 1 internal link per 500 words of content. The link should be directed to a page that is related to the blog subject and makes sense. When adding internal links to pages it does provide those pages with additional SEO value.
- Use external links when relevant.
Linking to outside websites can be a very effective SEO technique. Those links can position your website as an authority in the space as seen by Google. Search engines place a lot of value on the network that a website sits in. By linking out to authoritative, subject related websites in your industry you expand your network which makes your more relevant for the keywords you are trying to rank for. Always ensure your external links are relevant, natural and contain no spam. Only link to sites you trust.
